Almaty Marble Supply | Sipahi Mermer & Granit — 45 Years

Direct marble, granite and travertine supply from Turkey to architects, contractors and construction firms in Almaty and Astana — backed by AISI 316 stainless mechanical anchoring engineering and 45 years as a manufacturer.

Why Turkish Marble in Kazakhstan?

Turkey ranks third among Kazakhstan's natural stone (HS 6802) suppliers with an 11.7% share of a roughly $48 million market — one of Kazakhstan's largest sourcing markets for natural stone, meaning an experienced, proven supply route already exists.

Talan Towers (the Ritz-Carlton Astana), built by Rönesans Holding, and Enka's public-private partnership (PPP) healthcare projects are concrete evidence of large-scale Turkish contractors' established presence in Kazakhstan and the trust placed in Turkish suppliers.

Turkish contractors have delivered over 500 projects across Central Asia worth roughly $30 billion in investment — a scale that increases familiarity with, and preference for, Turkish manufacturers throughout the material supply chain.

With 45 years as a manufacturer (uninterrupted since 1989), we supply directly from the factory with no intermediaries — a clear distinction from the multi-source importer/warehouse operators dominating the Almaty/Astana market: we are a manufacturer, not a trader.

What We Offer — Three Product Models

We offer three supply models for Kazakhstan projects; together we determine the model best suited to your project's scale and local resource availability.

Model 1 — Raw Supply

Supply of unprocessed/standard-cut marble, granite and travertine slabs; cutting and installation are carried out by your local crew or distributor. A suitable entry model for local stone firms and distributors.

Model 2 — Cut-to-Size

Material CNC-cut to your project's exact dimensions with surface finishing completed (polished, honed, brushed); installation carried out by a local crew. The right scale for the Astana/Almaty office and shopping-mall construction pipeline.

Model 3 — Turnkey

Material + cutting + a skilled installation crew from Turkey + supervising engineer under one roof; scaffolding is excluded from scope (provided by the contractor/client). Net price including distance premium and scaffolding exclusion: 2,800-4,000 TRY/m². The highest quality assurance, with a single point of contact.

Corporate Assurances

Logistics and Shipping

Overland Route (TIR)

Sakarya to Almaty by truck (TIR) takes 10-18 days, depending on route and customs conditions.

Alternative Route

Combined sea + land transport via the Caspian Sea (Aktau port) — a more predictable alternative to the Iran transit route.

Iran Transit Warning

The overland transit route through Iran is not recommended given current geopolitical and customs risks; the TIR and Caspian routes are prioritized.

Pricing

All quotes are issued in USD or EUR — KZT devaluation risk is fixed to a set exchange rate, not carried by Sipahi.

Niche Expertise — AISI 316 Seismic Engineering

Almaty is one of Kazakhstan's most seismically active regions; the anchoring system for facade cladding is a far more critical engineering matter than with standard adhesive-based methods.

The AISI 316 stainless steel mechanical anchoring system that Sipahi actively applies on the Ada Hayat project (Sakarya) delivers facade cladding that is mechanically fixed and resistant to seismic and climate conditions — a higher safety margin than adhesive-based systems.

Our competitor analysis shows that no competitor in the Almaty/Astana market, including qstone.kz, offers seismic-engineering-themed content or expertise — a clear differentiation opportunity for Sipahi.

AISI 316 anchoring is offered as the standard technical specification on Model 2 (cut-to-size) and Model 3 (turnkey) projects; structural calculations and application details are shared on a per-project basis.

Reference Projects

Ada Hayat (Sakarya)

Travertine facade application with an AISI 316 stainless mechanical anchoring system — an active project, using the same technical infrastructure planned for Kazakhstan projects.

Baltürk Hotel

Interior marble flooring and lobby application.

Özel Medar Hospital

Antimicrobial marble corridor and flooring cladding.

Sipahi Business Center

Facade application on our own corporate headquarters.

Preparing for KazBuild 2027 and the Turkish Contractor Network

The September 2026 KazBuild exhibition has already passed for this year; Sipahi Mermer is already preparing to attend KazBuild 2027. Our goal is to become a direct supplier to large-scale Turkish contractors active in Kazakhstan, such as Rönesans and Enka.

Rönesans Holding

An established Turkish contractor in Kazakhstan with large-scale projects including Talan Towers (Ritz-Carlton Astana) — our goal is to become a direct supplier.

Enka İnşaat

Active in Kazakhstan through public-private partnership (PPP) healthcare projects — an open door for Turkish manufacturers in the material supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery to Kazakhstan take?
Delivery from our Sakarya workshop to Almaty by overland truck (TIR) takes 10-18 days, depending on route and customs conditions. Combined sea + land transport via the Caspian Sea (Aktau port) can also be considered as an alternative. Production time is calculated separately after order confirmation; the exact delivery schedule is shared in writing.
What payment method do you use?
Payments are made via L/C (letter of credit), denominated in USD or EUR. This means the devaluation risk on the Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT) is fixed into a contract at a stable exchange rate — not carried by Sipahi or the buyer. Your quoted price stays fixed in foreign-currency terms until delivery.
What is AISI 316 and why does it matter for Almaty?
AISI 316 is a high-grade stainless steel resistant to marine and humid conditions, used in anchoring systems that fix facade cladding mechanically rather than with adhesive. Because Almaty is an active seismic zone, a mechanically anchored facade system provides a far higher safety margin than adhesive-based systems — Sipahi actively applies this system on the Ada Hayat project.
Is Model 3 Turnkey carried out in Kazakhstan?
Yes. We deliver turnkey facade projects in Kazakhstan with material, cutting, and a skilled installation crew plus supervising engineer from Turkey. The only item outside our scope is scaffolding — erecting and providing scaffolding on site is the contractor's or client's responsibility. The price range is 2,800-4,000 TRY/m² (including distance premium and scaffolding exclusion).
Will you attend KazBuild 2027?
The September 2026 KazBuild exhibition has already passed for this year. Sipahi Mermer's Managing Director Berkay Sipahi is already preparing to attend KazBuild 2027; you can request a preliminary meeting with architects and contractors in Almaty/Astana ahead of the exhibition.
