What Is a Marble Slab — Use Cases
A slab is a large-format sheet obtained by slicing a raw block to standard thickness (typically 20mm or 30mm), with surface finishing completed. It can be used directly for facade/floor cladding, or supplied as raw material to be cut into smaller pieces for projects such as kitchen countertops. It is the most commonly chosen product among distributor and wholesaler customers.

Standard Dimensions
The typical slab size is 2.5×1.5m at 20mm or 30mm thickness, yielding an average of 3.75 m² per slab. Intermediate sizes and strip (narrow) cuts are also considered.
Surface Finishes
Honed (matte), polished, leathered, brushed and tumbled for marble/travertine; flamed finish is offered specifically for granite.
Thickness Tolerance
A standard tolerance of ±1-2mm is applied in production; consistency is ensured through quality-control sampling on high-volume orders.
Container Capacity
A 20ft container has a carrying capacity of approximately 450 m² for 20mm-thick slab; this rises to approximately 900 m² for a 40ft container.

Slabs are placed on A-frame metal racks that keep them upright and stable during transport; this system minimises the risk of breakage.
Corner Protection + Plastic Wrap
The corners of each slab are reinforced with corner guards for impact protection, while the surface is wrapped in plastic sheeting against moisture and dust.
Pallet Mounting
The A-frame rack is secured to a wooden pallet to prevent tipping during transport, and loaded into the container.
